Purpose The purpose of this position is to lead the portfolio management / planning process for all functions within commercial and supply chain.
This role will act as part of the team responsible for intaking all work / requests across commercial and supply chain (~$60M annual IT Capital and $200M annual business capital) and vetting those requests to ensure leadership alignment and prioritization across predefined criteria.
This role ensures clear visibility to key attributes of the overall portfolio (clearly defined business cases, blockers to progress, financial tracking of value and costs, and other key data points that enable trade-off decisions and rapid re-prioritization as needed).
This role will act as part of a small center of excellence team providing coaching, best practices, tools and methodologies for portfolio management capabilities across the functions of commercial and supply chain.
Duties and Responsibilities • Oversee and manage the overall portfolio consisting of multiple commerical and supply chain programs that drive overarching goals and strategies • Successfully manage competing priorities and urgent timelines with an ability to respond to new information dynamically.
• Partner with the PMO to collaboratively develop and execute strategic initiatives to support ADUSA operating companies' unique business strategies, ensuring the commerical and supply chain portfolio aligns with overall ADUSA strategic priorities • Work collaboratively with all functions, as well as other internal and external partners, to design and implement optimal tactics and strategies in delivering value effectively and efficiently through the portfolio • Lead or serve as part of cross-functional working teams and steering committees, develop, and deploy program governance structures where needed, and advocate for projects and work efforts.
• Support program and project initiative leads and sponsors in escalating impediments, risks, and issues swiftly and ensure agreed upon actions are taken to accept or eliminate impediments and risks.
Enable clear and efficient decision making in support of portfolio initiatives.
• Achieve organizational alignment to the strategic direction, including ensuring project and program goals and objectives are clearly defined, business value is tracked and captured, and roles, responsibilities and decision right are clear before work begins.
• Ensure all work within the portfolio is properly prioritized and funded to support business objectives and strategic goals by partnering with IT and finance accordingly.
• Lead the development of and give direction to portfolio analysts Qualifications • Portfolio Management best practices, including the application of Lean and Agile Portfolio management • Experience utilizing enterprise Portfolio Planning and Management tools • Financial management accumen (business case development, tracking of costs and value delivered) • Well versed at managing resource allocations and Portfolio Milestone plans on an ongoing basis to adapt to changing priorities.
• 6-8 years of relevant work experience (PMO or similar consulting experience) • Experience in larger scaled organizations • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
• PMP or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification preferred.
