Contemporary Worship Team Leader

The Contemporary Worship Team leader will lead our congregation in contemporary worship through music and song.
The Team Leader will facilitate an engaging worship environment that includes recruiting, scheduling, equipping and leading a worship team each week.
Duties: * Lead Contemporary Worship * Make theologically sound decisions about song selection in partnership with the pastors * Worship Team Support (recruit, cultivate and communicate with worship team members) * Worship Collaboration (partner with Director of Music, pastors, volunteers, staff and Music Team Chair) Education and Experience: * Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience * Prior experience leading a team of church musicians/singers * Possess instrumental and vocal abilities to lead a worship team Technical Skills: * Reads music and can structure vocal parts * Plays proficiently and performs using a musical instrument (Keyboard or Guitar preferred) * Is skilled in vocal and instrumental directions * Is committed to building trust and inclusiveness * Has a diverse knowledge of Contemporary Christian Music * Has solid oral and written communication skills We are seeking a Worship Leader who is passionate about leading others in contemporary worship, has a heart for recruiting and supporting musicians and desires to create an atmosphere where people can encounter God through music.
