Job Description:
Fleet Safety and Recruitment Managers are needed for the critical work of our Safety Program at Cooke Trucking Co, Inc.
, to be the face of our Safety Program for drivers!
Success in this role consists of educating, performing and enforcing program guidelines and goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and promote organizational values and safety compliance procedures
Visit local truck driving schools and build rapport to recruit student drivers
Manage accidents and emergencies immediately, gathering data for claims manager
Administrate driver qualification process, including recruiting, selection and onboarding new hires
Use dashcam software to review driver safety performance
Audit E-Logs for DOT HOS violations, and educate and enforce company policies in regard to HOS regulations.
Assign routine and remedial training as needed
Provide all functions of Drug Enforcement Representative (DER) for drug/alcohol testing program
Manage state permits and fuel card program
Stay engaged with the newest safety trends and leading organizations in our industry
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities of all CDL drivers, and success in this role will depend on educating our driver workforce and instilling close practice of safety program guidelines and goals!

Job Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or one or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong communication skills: written and verbal
Proficient computer skills, including: Microsoft Windows, Office products, and required web-based software and technology
Class A CDL with prior driving experience (welcomed but not required)
Knowledge of all pertinent FMCSA and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements
