Steel Erection Operations Manager

*About The Job* Piedmont Steel Company, LLC is in search of an exceptionally organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Steel Erection Operations Manager.
We are looking for a team player with outstanding communication skills who can effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, vendors, office staff, and field employees.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask, possess a clear understanding of construction site layout, and be one who values, promotes, and enforces a strong safety and quality culture.
Fluency in Spanish and English is required, and experience in managing fast-paced steel erection projects is a significant advantage.
*Duties and Responsibilities:* * Work closely with superintendents and foreman to monitor field productivity across multiple projects to ensure safety and scheduling requirements are met and exceeded.
* Ensure that an adequate fieldwork force is maintained on each project through input from superintendents, project managers and/or divisions manager.
* Coordinate project material needs, monitoring of all equipment, including lifts, welding machines and other necessities required to complete the project prior to commencement.
* Schedule, monitor, and correct subcontractor progress and performance.
* Prepare written evaluations for all field personnel.
Make salary adjustment recommendations to upper management for review.
* Ensure daily field and progress reports are completed and turned in daily.
* Recommend the hiring and termination of field employees to upper management.
* Interpret company policies to workers and ensure enforcement of safety regulations are being maintained.
* Oversight and management of Superintendents and Foreman.
* Must be able to safely access all areas of property, including rooftops and other elevated positions.
* Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift fifty pounds.
* Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
*Requirements* * 10 Years of Structural Steel Erection specific experience in supervisory role managing crews of 40+ * US Citizen with a valid driver’s license and an OSHA 30 Card * Must be able to supply industry specific trade references, as well as jobs completed, and supervision experience.
