Position Objective
Our Floor Leads ensure customer satisfaction through leading a team that assembles quality classroom furniture.
Work Schedule:
6:30am - 4:30pm Monday-Thursday
6:30am - 10:30am Friday (Overtime as needed)
Position Responsibilities Include:
Organize the Assemblers in breaking down pallets of unassembled units and placing them on assembly table.
Responsible for visually inspecting assembly components and completed unit to ensure quality assembly.
Responsible for overseeing the clean-up of work area to include empty boxes, plastic wrapping material, building material, etc.
to ensure safety of area.
Oversee the Packers in packing finished furniture units by moving units from end of assembly line and place in boxes along with any packing materials.
They will make sure all boxes are sealed, labeled, and moved to a pallet.
Offer suggestions on production improvement, and design enhancement for ease of building.
Manage a time study per production build for future forecasting.
Occasionally assist in unloading of incoming furniture components from trailers by hand or with pallet jack and move to appropriate location in the warehouse.
Identify obvious damage to materials through visual inspection and place damaged goods in specified location.
Work with the other Floor Members in managing furniture repair.
Position Requirements Include:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Exercises integrity and maintains professionalism while leading by example.
Some experience with case good assembly and proficiency with various hand tools required.
Ability to work cohesively with an adjacent floor manager.
Must be safety and quality conscious with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet the weekly production.
Demonstrated ability to frequently maneuver and lift up to 75 lbs.
independently as needed to assemble and occasionally lift up to 150 lbs.
as part of a two person team.
Majority of assembled units weigh between 40 lbs.
