Responsibilities: Responsible for daily shipping activities Transportation & logistics experience a must Analyze and propose methods of sustained productivity increases Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse Ensure safe working conditions including properly training employees on proper safety methods, assists Human Resources with the management of worker compensation claim Audit various paperwork and postings for accuracy and compliance with appropriate local, state and federal laws, statutes and company policies Effectively counsel and manage employees on attendance, performance and/or misconduct; continuous employee training and development Experience with AS 400 database for the purpose of measuring the pick accuracy and performance of employees (cycle count, bin walk, etc) Manage the maintenance and repairs of all warehouse-related equipment Additional tasks as assigned Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred Five years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 years' experience in Warehouse Department management in a manufacturing atmosphere Knowledge of local, state and federal OSHA safety regulations Experience in forklift certification and inspection, hazmat certification, operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.
) Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training) Must have strong leadership and organizations skills Ability to work a flexible work schedule with a "hands-on" management style Must be detail orientated and a team player; Excellent oral and written skills; excellent organizational skills and driven to excel Leadership and decision-making skills Basic computer skills Experience with retail accounts that have compliance/routing guides So, what are you waiting for?
