SEH is currently searching for a talented Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to work with key clients in our growing North Carolina practice! This position is open to individuals in the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point), or surrounding areas in North Carolina! The Opportunity: Opportunity for immediate involvement in on-going projects, with the opportunity to expand into new markets Provide technical advice, lead projects and teams, manage client relationships and deliver profitable projects to grow our civil practice and / or land development practice Work in a collaborative team environment where you’ll impact team decisions and mentor our junior engineers and technicians Work from home flexibility What you will be doing: Fostering existing client relationships and supporting business development staff in pursuit of new business Planning, developing, coordinating, and directing multiple projects for a variety of clients Understanding market needs and trends to identify and act on opportunities to win work Maintaining close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion Maintaining an understanding of relevant regulatory programs, funding opportunities, design standards and procedures through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations Representing SEH with agencies at project and public meetings Preparing project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects Presenting proposals to clients, interview for projects, and select project teams Determining major project design decisions in conjunction with client Performing complex design calculations Checking accuracy of completed work and being responsible for ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field of study Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina Minimum of ten (10) years previous experience with design, construction and project management of municipal infrastructure and land development projects Experience with local infrastructure and land development projects Experience in proposal writing and client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals Must be located in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point) or surrounding area Preferred Qualifications: Fifteen (15)+ years of previous experience in the Civil Engineering field Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national Civil Engineering societies and associations Who We Are Better Places.

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $130,000 and $155,000 based on skill set and experience.
