Job Description Job Title: Sponsorship and Sales Manager, Bowman Gray Stadium Department: Winston Salem Speedway FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Prepared Date: 3/25/2024 Reviewed Date: 3/25/2024 SUMMARY The Sponsorship and Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure sponsorships, partnerships, and sales opportunities that drive revenue and support the growth of the racetrack.
This position will leverage their sales acumen, relationship-building skills, and industry knowledge to identify and cultivate potential sponsors, negotiate agreements, and deliver exceptional value to partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Identify and prospect potential sponsors, including corporations, businesses, and brands that align with the racetrack’s target audience and values.
Develop customized sponsorship proposals and presentations to showcase the benefits of partnering with the racetrack.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective sponsors, serving as the primary point of contact for all sponsorship inquiries and negotiations.
Build rapport with key stakeholders and decision-makers to understand their marketing objectives and tailor sponsorship packages accordingly.
Negotiate sponsorship agreements, including terms, pricing, benefits, and activation opportunities.
Ensure that contractual obligations are clearly defined and mutually beneficial for both the racetrack and sponsors.
Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to finalize agreements.
Work closely with sponsors to develop activation plans that maximize their visibility and engagement at racetrack events.
Coordinate promotional activities, signage placement, hospitality experiences, and other branding opportunities to deliver value and achieve sponsor objectives.
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth across various channels, including ticket sales, corporate hospitality, merchandise, and advertising opportunities.
Identify new revenue streams and innovative sales tactics to maximize revenue potential.
Collaborate with the event management team to integrate sponsor activations seamlessly into racetrack events.
Provide on-site support and coordination to ensure that sponsor commitments are fulfilled, and promotional assets are deployed effectively.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
COMPUTER SKILLS Proficient skills on Company provided hardware and software.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver License OTHER SKILLS Proven track record of success in sponsorship sales, business development, or related roles, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
